About Us
Captain Bob Beighley has been fishing his whole life and is a very well rounded fisherman. His father was an avid fly fisherman who showed him the ropes at a very young age. Bob started fishing for rockfish on the Chesapeake Bay. He then moved to Ocean City, Maryland where he became a successful offshore mate earning his master captain’s license fishing primarily for marlin, tuna and shark. A1A SPORTFISHING
While working in the Florida Keys on an offshore fishing boat, he discovered flats fishing and knew this was right up his alley. He then bought a house on Cudjoe Key where he immediately started doing his homework learning the flats and tides of the surrounding keys. After years of study, he decided the time was right and started up Double Haul Charters. He is a full-time guide.A1A SPORTFISHING
Capt. Bob will guide you on your search for bonefish, tarpon, permit, barracuda, shark and anything else you may encounter and make you feel as comfortable as if you were fishing with an old fishin’ buddy. He is very patient with children and novice anglers as well as the experienced old pro and will fine-tune your fishing skills regardless if you chose fly or spinning tackle. If your fly-casting is rusty or if you are new to fly fishing, Bob is an experienced fly fishing caster and will gladly share his knowledge with you for as long as it takes.

The 16' Dolphin Super Skiff Pro is the most widely used and respected
boat in flats fly fishing today. Designed for long range running in open
bays with a severe chop, the hull is a unique combination of deep V
(18 degrees) and shallow draft (8"). The Super Skiff was the first boat
specifically developed for stalking wary bonefish on the shallow flats –
earning its reputation as the quietest, stealthiest, best poling boat on
the planet. There are imitators–but there is only one legend -
the Super Skiff.A1A SPORTFISHING

Regardless if you choose fly fishing tackle, spinning tackle, or bait casting tackle, you will not be disappointed with my high quality rods, reels, lines etc. All tackle is new and kept in tiptop shape. You will find that my reel’s drags are super smooth and packed with new top quality line. My leaders are tied with perfectly formed knots and will meet I.G.F.A guidelines in case we run across a fish of a lifetime or better yet, a world record. You will appreciate my attention to detail down to my hand-filed hooks. I challenge you to find a dull hook on my boat.A1A SPORTFISHING
